As you know, the fantastic Armenian State Chamber Choir will be in the Bay Area in April for their highly-anticipated concert in Berkeley. This is an opportunity that comes around only once in a lifetime. Therefore, I'd like to invite you to join us and give them a warm welcome! The Meet and Greet event is scheduled for
Friday April 13 at 7:30pm at John Marukian Hall in Oakland (St. Vartan Church, 650 Spruce St.) - $35
RSVP by March 31: Liz (510) 351-6754, Zaven (510) 528-1807
At their concert, the choir will be performing Missa Memoria by David Halajian. I just heard that Haladjian will travel to the Bay Area for this concert and will be with us on Friday. Furthermore, as a "surprise", composer Robert Amirkhanyan will be travelling with the choir as well! Two of Armenia's popular young singers of the traditional songs, Mavr Mkrtchyan and Razmik Baghdasarian, are members of the choir; another member is an expert in Armenian folklore (dance and song) and may show us some dance movements. All in all, it's going to be a friendly, fun, and memorable evening. You will make it even more special, if you join! Looking forward!
Please do me a favor and share this with your family and friends.
Artin, St. Vartan Church Choir Director
